Cuddling

It's been a long time since I've posted something. I know, shame on me. Ellen and I have been pretty busy though, but that still isn't an excuse. I have had a lot of time to think about what to post next and I can't believe I haven't posted this yet. I love cuddling with Ellen. If it was my choice we would lay in the bed all day and just hold each other. The only problem is we can't make money that way. Ellen says I'm a bad cuddle buddy at night but I still have to be touching her in someway to know that she's there. I sleep so good knowing she is by my side. It really helps that she is a heater during the winter too. Haha Love you, Ellen, and I can't wait to get in the bed tonight and cuddle with you!

Day 26/27/28

Her Toughness

Ellen is a very tough girl. She has had a rough life, none of it being her fault. It was just the cards she was dealt. I won't talk about some things because I don't want to bring up bad memories, but some examples are her mom going on dialysis, and her sister's actions lately. Through everything Ellen keeps going, knowing things will get better. I wasn't with her when her mom went on dialysis, but I know I couldn't imagine the changes they had to go through to survive. Their lives changed completely. Ellen just doesn't quit. I don't think she knows how. Another reason I love her is because of her toughness and her inability to quit. She never quit me :)

Day 25

Her Friends

Ellen has some good friends, better than mine. We went out with her friend Whitney and her husband Michael tonight at Ricatoni's and had a real good time. They are actually Lucy's godparents. I really don't have to worry about being entertained when hanging out with Ellen's friends. She knows how to pick them. They are usually funny like herself and just all around good friends. My friends are just bums that are only worry about partying, but hers are more mature and are concerned with more adult things. When Lucy was born, none of my friends came to see us, but hers did. They really care about her, which is what a true friend should do. When it really comes down to it, I've only got two friends: Lucy and Ellen.

Day 23/24

Her Hair

Ellen got her hair cut today, and I love it! She has the softest and shiniest hair as it is and now she has the style that really fits her. Ellen grew her hair out because she knew I liked long hair, but most of our relationship she has had fairly short hair. So when she got it cut today it really reminded me of us early in our relationship. This style is just her. When I think of her I see her with that hair style. It'll also cut down on the time it takes her to fix it in the morning ;)

Day 22

Her Knowledge of the English Language

Now when I say the knowledge of the English language, I mean having a vast vocabulary and a great dialect. She knows all the rules of writing. The knowledge of a language has a direct correlation with intelligence. Ellen is very intelligent. Living in Alabama, I hear a lot of rednecks talking very poorly. It is such a blessing to hear Ellen speaking perfectly. It may sound snobby of me, but it just shows her appreciation of the language to learn it well enough to master it. I really feel like an idiot when I hear her talk about English because there are so many things she knows that I never even heard of. I really love being with someone more intelligent than I am. Some people may not like that, but I do. Being intelligent as she is makes her sophisticated in so many ways. Ellen is going places. She doesn't know it yet, but I'm sure of it. If she can master English, she can master anything.

Day 21

Her Eyes

Ellen has one of the most beautiful set of eyes I've ever seen. I love them. Whenever Ellen ask me what thing do I love about her physical features the most, I always say her eyes. They were the first things to grab my attention when we first started talking. There were a lot of things about her that grabbed my attention, but that was the biggest. I can always get lost in them. Sometimes she worries about me because she catches me staring at her. She always thinks something is wrong. She asks me "What?" I just say that I like looking at her, which I do. I love green and it's just appropriate Ellen has green eyes.

Day 20

Her Competitive Spirit

Ellen is probably one of the most competitive people I've ever met. We both are very competitive, and I love it. Most people don't like competitiveness, but I do. She does not like losing at all, and she gets very, very upset when she loses. It doesn't happen often because of her determination to win. She is relentless. Our daughter won a cutest child contest because her competitiveness. She got out there and told everyone to vote for Lucy and it worked. I also love competing against her because she makes it so much fun. We still don't like losing, but it's not as bad when it is between us. Just one more reason she is my life.
